Our Story

El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the vibrant culture and flavors of Mexico, nestled in the charming town of Austin, MN. The journey to opening this beloved establishment began in Missouri, where our founder dreamed of creating a restaurant that brought people together over delicious food. During a drive through Austin, the beauty and warmth of the town captured their heart, leading to the decision to set up shop in this welcoming community.

What sets El Mariachi apart is the inviting atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home. Our restaurant is designed for comfort, encouraging customers to savor their meals without feeling rushed. Many patrons fondly recall their own childhood visits, and now they bring their children to experience the same joy and tradition. This family-oriented approach has helped us forge lasting connections within the community, making El Mariachi a cherished gathering spot for generations.

Our menu is a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine, featuring a diverse selection of dishes that cater to all tastes. From hearty burritos and crispy nachos to fresh salads and succulent prawns, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our specialties, such as mangonadas and micheladas, provide a unique twist that keeps customers coming back for more. Savory tamales, flavorful fajitas, and street tacos are just a few highlights that showcase the rich culinary heritage we aim to represent.

As we look to the future, we are excited about expanding our reach within the Austin community and beyond. We plan to increase our catering services, bringing the taste of El Mariachi to more events and celebrations. Our banquet hall, a hidden gem in our restaurant, is also available for rent and will be promoted more actively, allowing us to host various gatherings, from family reunions to corporate events.

At El Mariachi, we are committed to continuously serving the Austin and surrounding areas with the same passion and dedication that inspired our inception. We believe that food has the power to bring people together, and we look forward to creating more memories for our guests in the years to come. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or celebrating a special occasion, El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant promises a culinary experience that transports you to Mexico with every delicious bite.
